Shares of Ally Financial Inc.(ALLY) got off to a weak start, edging lower in their trading debut after a tepid initial public offering for the auto lender.
The Detroit company shares opened at $24.25, down 3% from its IPO offer price, and held declines in morning trading. Ally 95-million-share IPO, which allowed the U.S. Treasury to slash its stake in the former General Motors financing arm, had fetched $25 a share, the low end of Ally expected price range.
Ally was a tough sell for some investors because of the low returns its business generates compared with other lenders, and the specter of more large share sales by the U.S. Treasury Department, which bailed out Ally in the wake of the financial crisis. The IPO reduced the government stake to 17% from 37%.

Advisors' Opinion:- [By Damian Illia]
A Delaware corporation formed in 1994, ResMed Inc. (RMD) is a global leading designer, developer, manufacturer and marketer of medical products for the diagnosis, treatment and management of sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) and other respiratory disorders. For the quarter ended in Dec. 31, 2013 ResMed reported a 2 percent increase (a 1 percent increase in constant currency basis) in revenue over the quarter ended in Dec. 31, 2012. However, these earnings failed to meet analyst estimates; and not without a reason. A relatively poor performance was expected due to continued pressure in the United States, especially as a consequence of the market's restructuring due to competitive Medicare bidding. This might also be one of the reasons why this stock still remains undervalued.

Revenue in its Americas and combined Europe/Asia Pacific regions rose by 11% and 12%, respectively, with the company announcing a 47% increase to its quarterly dividend.
